I had picked out a corner and stood watching, waiting and enjoying being outside. I had not stood there long, however, before I noticed someone else that also appeared to be waiting; a perfect opportunity to try and engage this Stranger.
This is Roslyn. She was waiting for a friend to pick her up but had a few moments to talk. Moving out of the direct sunlight and taking a few frames, we had a little time to chat before her friend arrived. Roslyn recently found employment at a local eatery and is to start soon. I am sure she will do well, as she seems a friendly woman with a great smile, and it was a pleasure to make her acquaintance.
Making that connection with Roslyn very early in the lunch hour really set the mood for the day: she ended up being the first of three photos and one in-depth conversation that day.
